North Atlantic Services (NAS) Instructions for Cycle IW07

Effective October 1, 2007

These guidelines have been revised to update service contract number TAAFLO/ISA 07-02, consignment instructions and references to preadvice announcements.

Attached are two lists of carriers approved to ship cargo under the ISA/North Atlantic Services (NAS) service contract:

1.    Carriers approved for NAS ports serving Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom

2.    Carriers approved to coload for countries in the Mediterranean areas of Italy, Spain and Turkey

NOTE:  Even if a carrier is approved and shown on the NAS list, it does not automatically mean the carrier is approved by NAS in the Mediterranean.

Please be sure to discard all previous lists and use those attached which are effective October 1, 2007The lists are currently available on the website http://www.gosselin.be in the section for NAS.  As The Gosselin Group continues to adjust processes/procedures following their recent restructure, websites will be updated and announced.

MOTORCYCLES:   If your shipment contains a motorcycle, it MUST be listed on the GBL and OBL (make, model and serial number).  Confirm your carrier has sent the title and/or registration for the motorcycle.  Otherwise, the container will be held by customs in Italy.  You must also have a certification from the owner or origin agent or carrier that the motorcycle has been drained of fuel and the battery has been disconnected.

I.              OBL instructions

IMPORTANTAny container loaded with less than 1900 cft. to any destination must be approved prior to shipping.  Report the shipment to NAS including the SCAC, cube and net weight.  It will then be determined if the carrier will be subject to a surcharge which must be approved by the carrier in writing (emails will be accepted) prior to shipping.
